MARCH 2011 NEWSLETTER
Dear Friends,
We welcome Vincent back from his mission trip
to Nigeria and praise God for granting him traveling mercies. Our God
is good. “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is His
mercy toward them that fear Him” (Psalm 103:11). Therefore, we wish to
use this medium to recognize and appreciate all who have
contributed to the progress of this ministry through prayer or
financial support. May the faithful Lord pour out His blessings on you.
Please don’t relent in your support to EWCM.
We Are Excited About What God Is Doing. We
trust that this newsletter will be an encouragement to you as we share
God’s faithful dealings with this ministry.

To refresh your memories, the school started
with six students in October 1999 and now it has 835 and counting. The
only thing standing on the way is accommodation. The administration has
stopped enrolling students in primary section because of lack of
accommodation. They pray and hope that help will come soon for
(constructing more classrooms), so they don’t have to turn students
away.
Our mission: At EWCM, our mission is to change
lives through education. We are investing in tomorrow’s leaders by the
integration of academics with the Word of God to create a lasting
legacy. The opportunity to invest in the lives
of children/youth, we believe is an awesome privilege. As we watch the
progress that the students at EWCSI are making, we begin to
realize how much an impact your support is making. When your
giving helps to effect a change in a child’s life, that child will in
turn have a life-long impact in his/her community and possibly around
the world. We can’t settle for less. We will continue to press on till
the job is done.
What Was Vincent Able to
Accomplish?
- Completed the decking of the first
floor of one of the dorms
- Started the construction of the second dorm
Looking Ahead: it is our
desire that both dorms be completed and furnished by the end of August
2011, so that students will be able to move in by the first week of
September to start classes. However, the possibility of this plan
coming to fruition depends on how much financial help we get. The
dorms will house between 350-400 students at the first phase.
This is a breakdown of the
needs:
Ø
Flooring and plastering of
the dorms $50,000
Ø
Cafeteria
construction
$35,000
Ø
Putting doors & windows
in dorms & cafeteria
$35,000
Ø
Flooring and plastering of
Cafeteria
$15,000
Ø
Cafeteria
furnishing
$25,000
Ø
Painting & wiring
of dorms/cafeteria $25,000
Our commitment to financial
and physical responsibility is demonstrated in the work that has been
done and openness in reporting what’s going on within the ministry.
To maximize our effort in
conducting this ministry the godly way, we request that you pray on the
following:
ü
For wisdom in making
decisions that affect the ministry
ü
For the Word of God to
penetrate the hearts of the students to cause them to make
decision to ACCEPT Jesus in their hearts
ü
For teacher, and staff to
lead by good examples
ü
For the success of the High
School gradaunds of 2011
ü
For God to pour His blessings
on the supporters of EWCM
ü
For Vincent and his family to
be in good health as they serve the Lord
We trust this letter will be an encouragement
to you as we work together to spread the Good News of our Lord Jesus
Christ. Thanks for all that you do for the sake of the Gospel.
